FAQs

What would a typical class look like?

Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be a quiet time, sharing of testimonies, presentation of information, and activations. From time to time, there will be impartations. As led by the Holy Spirit, there will be ministry to the needs of your fellow students using the skills you have been taught.

What are “activation exercises”?

They are small group activities that focus on equipping you with supernatural tools through practice in class. Think of them as the “lab” part of the class.

Are there quizzes and tests?

There are NO quizzes and there are NO tests – the assumption is that, since the Holy Spirit led you to OSSM, you will be faithful to learn all that He has for you to learn.

Is there homework?

There is no homework, as such. You will, however, be asked to read several books each semester that are strongly focused on the how-to of supernatural ministry, and then share what the Holy Spirit has ministered to you through each book.  These books are provided as part of your tuition. You will be required to do one hour of outreach each week, either on your own, or preferably, with a team, and email a report before the next class.

Why do I have to do outreach?

Fear is a big hurdle to overcome when trying to take the power of God from the seats to the streets. By doing outreach in small groups, you have the support of your teammates. By doing outreach over and over, it becomes easier each time to get over the hurdle of fear. Most importantly, you discover that this stuff really works!
